With the advanced audit methods workshop we address the demanding question on how to obtain sufficient assurance for First Level Control and Second Level Control/Audit Authority work while maintaining audit efficiency. The workshop elaborates on the practical day-to-day questions on audit planning in line with the audit strategy (AA) and audit work programme (FLC) and the audit risk/audit assurance model. Therefore it reaches beyond the audit strategies of AA. As the subject is highly dependent on the applicable management and control systems, a lot of time is dedicated to discussion. We furthermore introduce advanced audit methods and provide exercises based on a case study. The workshop builds on the Financial Control on-the-spot check workshop, however it is not obligatory to firstly participate in the on-the-spot check workshop.
