Beschreibung:

TWIN is an international seminar week to make the exchange and interaction of people and their ideas possible, build up an international student network and focus on important topics like AIDS (2004) or Energy (2005). It is organised by the local committee of AIESEC (www.aiesec.de) at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany and is the longest running conference in AIESEC, for over a quarter century.

This year from 5th to 12th of November we expect about 50 students from different European countries to come together here in Karlsruhe and work on the topic "Europe, quo vadis?". The delegates are going to deal with topics like the European Constitution, the cultural differences and the expansion of the European Union. To look at different aspects of these topics we are organising workshops, public lectures and trips to the European Parliament in Strasbourg and the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. Additionally, the delegates are going to present their cultures, countries and traditions at a "Global Village" to the public, which is going to take place in a local mall. This way, the events are not only having an impact on the delegates, but on the local public, too.

In spite of a busy schedule in this week, the most important thing of TWIN is building up a youth network. Most of the connections made in this conference last for years.

Open events for everybody are the Global Village and the Lecture by Mr. Arp form the EU. Have a look on our Homepage.
