This online discussion will be about the importance of creativity in campaigning for social justice causes and for democratic self-empowerment of the individual.

Therefore, Madeleina Key, a British artist, writer, musician and political activist has been invited to discuss these topics with the audience. Part of the discussion will be:

  • her previous activism against Brexit
  • the influence of media in the outcome of the UK's vote to leave the EU
  • the demonisation of migrants and representation of minorities in the public and media, and
  • ways to combat hate speech, fake news and conspiracy theories online.

The journalist Eva Onkels will moderate this discussion.
