On February 28, 2022, just a few days after the start of the Russian full-scale invasion, Ukraine applied for EU membership. Four months later, in June 2022, the European Council granted Ukraine the status of an official candidate for accession. However, how realistic is Ukraine's prospective membership given the ongoing war? What specific steps and reforms need to be implemented by Ukraine for EU accession? And how can these be linked to the country's reconstruction efforts? The second instalment of the "Europe in the Neighbourhood - Let's Talk!" citizen dialogue series addresses these questions, providing a platform for dialogue with political decision-makers and experts from Ukraine and the EU.
