Beschreibung:
How Strong Is Europe? Albania’s Path to the EU
What does Europe mean for your future? Where do you want to live, study or work? What does the EU open up for you, and what changes when Europe grows?
Albania is in the middle of its EU accession talks. Behind the negotiating chapters are very concrete questions about mobility, opportunity and belonging. Take them on with us.
The workshop
In a hands-on simulation, you step into EU accession negotiations yourself. You take on a role, argue a position and negotiate real issues such as the free movement of people. Along the way, you talk with other young Europeans and with experts from Albania and Germany.
Who can join?
Anyone between 20 and 35 who cares about Europe, whether at university, at work or in their free time. No prior knowledge of the region needed. Just bring curiosity, an appetite for debate and an interest in meeting new people. The workshop is held in English. Places are limited to 20.
Programme, Friday, 27 November 2026
12:00 Lunch and workshop
16:30 Public fishbowl discussion. You stay on as we open the floor: Where does Albania stand on its path to the EU? What does enlargement mean for Europe? And what kind of Europe does our generation want? Guests from politics and diplomacy join the circle, and so can you.
17:45 Music and reception. An Albanian pianist closes the programme with two pieces from her home country, followed by a buffet with an Albanian specialty.
