St. Helens in the northwest of England developed during the Industrial Revolution into a significant centre for coal mining and glassmaking. But the world changed very much and St. Helens took off to find new economic fields. A vital role in this dynamic modernisation process has been played by the Chamber of Commerce. Among many of its outstanding actions is the promotion of the internationalisation of professional training - a field where St. Helens and Stuttgart’s Kaufmännische Schule Nr. 1 cooperate very successfully. Both partners will present their cooperations.
