The European Academy for Taxes, Economics & Law is organising this international seminar "Fraud Investigation Techniques for Public Institutions" from 3rd to 4th March 2014 in Berlin.

The recent report of the European Commission on corruption says that corruption costs the EU economy at least 120bn Euros. Fraud is a threat to every organisation on a local, national and international level. Although constant awareness and proactive prevention within public institutions is increasing, the right approach of fraud investigations is just as important. Conducting a professional investigation requires careful planning as well as the right investigation techniques.

Professionals responsible for risk management and internal audit need to be fully prepared for detecting and reporting fraud and corruption cases and for implementing innovativ prevention methods and tools.
