What is specific about the German way of rememberance?
Can there be too much remembrance? How does the way we remember affect the present and the future?

This panel debate is the opening event for a seminar with participants from different European countries. During the following days we will visit historic sights in Berlin such as the Topographie des Terrors and Gedenkstädte Hohenschönhausen. Comparable events in Budapest, Vilnius, Prague and Weimar will follow thoughout the next eight months.
